Rainbow agar agar

Make agar agar with coconut milk, separate equally into three bowls. For each bowl, add one drop of different colouring.

Pop a tray onto a support so that the tray is slanted.

Add one colour of agar agar into the tray and repeat same process alternate with the other colours of agar agar.

Once completed, remove support under the tray so that the tray is placed evenly on the table. Let the agar agar cool and on cooling, place the agar agar in the fridge to set.

When the agar agar set, cut them into any patterns of your choice. It looked lovely with rainbow colours.

Long Beans with sambal belachan

Did not get clear photo of the dish. Cut the long beans to length of about 1 to 2 inches long, blanch them in boiling water to almost cook, set aside. Fry some dried shrimps till fragrant, add long beans and sambal belachan. (I used the sambal from Glory - see photo).

Chilli Crayfish

Use a brush to scrub and wash the crayfish and placed them in a steaming plate. Sliced some ginger and placed on top of the crayfish and sprinkled 1 tsp of chinese wine on them.

Steam them for about 15 minutes or when the shell of the crayfish turned orangy colour but be careful not to let the water in the wok dry up during steaming.

After steaming, drain the water in the steaming plate and when cool, remove the flesh from the shell of the crayfish and set aside.

To prepare the sauce, just follow the instructions behind the label of the jar. I used about half bottle of the chilli sauce.

When the sauce boiled, just add one beaten egg into it and mix well and pour over the crayfish.

Daison dinnerware

Got these plates at $2 each (microwave safe) from Daiso, look really beautiful. The four plates/bowls on the left, the one on extreme right is more expensive from Takashimaya.

Curry Chicken

Made some curry chicken using another brand of curry paste.
It was so easy to make, just follow the instructions on the back of the package.
The curry paste smelled so delicious.
The gravy was a bit too thick, if prefer more dilute can add more water to it.

Hasselback Potatoes

Saw this simple recipe in the internet, looked easy enough to bake. Slice the potato (with or without skin) but not cut through the potato, place the potato between two chopsticks when cutting so wont cut through the potato.

Brush some oil or butter onto the aluminium foil and also on the base and all over the potato. Sprinkle some salt on them too.

Bake them for about 1 hr at 180 degrees celsius and remember to brush some oil or butter when halfway through baking. In the last ten minutes or so, I sprinkle some cheese on top of one of the potato. Can sprinkle other ingredients too like spices, herbs or even sambal chilli, etc. So yummy.

Stir fry long beans using the happy call pan

Have a great time using the Happy Call Pan to stir fry my long beans. Added some garlic to the chopped long beans and into the pan and stir fry for a while without oil. Added some water to make the long beans cooked softer. Once satisfied with the textur eof the long beans, I added some light soya sauce and sesame oil into the beaten egg and pour over the long beans and let them cooked and flip the pan over for even frying.

Sweet and Sour Pork

I love the happy call pan so much but I did not deep fry the sweet and sour pork in the pan, I use the wok to deep fried them first then use the happy call pan to cook the gravy and the final stage of the sweet and sour pork. The pan took a short time to cook the sweet and sour pork, save so much time and so yummy.

Fish with leek using the Happy Call Pan

My fish is too big for the pan, so I cut off the head.

Grilled both sides of the fish using the happy call pan, no oil added.
When almost cooked, add the other ingredients like ginger, leeks, chillis, sugar, dark soya sauce, water, etc
The close the pan with magnet lock and cook till the fish is done.

Toast Bread in beaten egg using the happy call pan.

Still so happy with the pan, make breakfast for my son using HCP, dipped the bread into beaten egg with light soya sauce (optional can replace with salt or other seasoning) and put onto the pan.  The pan heat up very fast especially the centre part. Then flip over and let the other side cooked too. All these take less than two minutes.

Yummy, smell so nice and looked so delicious.
A short video of me flipping the HCP.

Fried Ham/Prawn egg omelette using happy call pan

So happy that I got the happy call pan. I decided to fry egg omelette. Throw in ham and prawns without even adding a single drop of oil.

When the ingredients almost cooked, I added beaten egg with light soya sauce into the pan, also without adding any oil.

So healthy without oil.
