Kuehs

This is my favourite png kueh. Hubby bought from Alexandra. Tasted very nice. The ang koo kueh is also good. But I prefer png kueh and you eat it with the black sauce. Yummy.

Take Away Food

One of the take away I had for a lazy day. White rice with steam egg, assorted vegetables and chicken with sausages. Very nice.

Ham and Potatoes wrapped in spring roll wrapper

This is an easy dish to do.

Fried or Boil (healthier) some potato cubes. Set aside.

Mix some curry powder (more if you like spicy) with the potato cubes and ham cubes. Mix evenly.

Wrap some potato and ham cubes in spring roll wrapper.

Sealed the ends with beaten egg and dip them in the beaten egg.

Deep fried or pan fried them. The spring roll wrappers are crispy and yummy.

Note: You can replace the meat with other meat of your choice.

Glass noodle (Tang Hoon) with eggs

Soak two bundles of glass noodle.
Saute some mince garlic till fragrant, add glass noodle and oyster sauce and some water.
Stir fry evenly then add a beaten egg and mix evenly.

Note: For darker colour, add some dark soya sauce

Chinese New Year 2008 - Simple Steamboat

This is a long forgotten photo taken during the eve of this Chinese New Year 2008. Just a simple steamboat dinner for the family of four of us.

Should have taken a photo when the steamboat is boiling.

Caixin with mushroom

Yummy, I love vegetables. Cooked this with mushroom and Caixin with oyster sauce. I parboil the vegetables for a healthier dish.

Easter Agar Agar

I am having fun playing around and experimenting with the agar agar colours and agar agar moulds. I love the tulips and the bunnies.

I guess I am too lazy to add coconut milk to my agar agar base.

That is why the cute easter agar agar patterns are not so outstanding on the agar agar base.

I will try again another time. But I love the tulips.

Easter Agar Agar Egg

I am too lazy. Should have made more coloured eggs. It is very easy to do. Boiled some agar agar powder with water and sugar and pour into egg shells. First, you needed to empty the egg yolk and egg white from the egg shell. Then let the agar agar egg set in the fridge. When set, peeled the egg shell.
